A few miles from my home, down in Brown county, Indiana, is the historic Yellowwood Trail, a 20 mile, unimproved road, that follows an old Indian trail and stage-coach run across the northern part of the county. This old log cabin is typical of the treasures one will come across while hiking the ancient road. Who knows when it was built, but still stands, reminiscent of times not so long ago when this area was first being settled during the western migration. Ah yes, the vanishing America landscape.
